What is Mode Mastery?
Mode Mastery is a token-based reward campaign introduced in EA SPORTS FC 25 as a replacement for Icon Swaps. Instead of earning tokens through specific objectives, Mode Mastery rewards you for your weekly competitive performance across the three main FUT game modes: Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions.
How Does It Work?
Special “Mastery Player” token cards appear in your weekly reward packs based on the rank you achieve in each mode. Higher ranks earn more tokens per week. These token cards can then be submitted into dedicated SBCs to redeem rewards.
Squad Battles
1–2 tokens per week based on your rank. Silver 1 through Elite tiers.
Division Rivals
1–2 tokens per week. Earn 35+ points in Div 10 through Elite.
FUT Champions
1–3 tokens per week. More wins means more tokens, up to 13+ wins.
What Rewards Can You Get?
Tokens are exchanged through special SBCs for exclusive player cards, Icon picks, and high-value packs. Some rewards require mode-specific tokens (e.g. only Champions tokens), while top-tier rewards accept any combination. In FC 25, headline rewards included a 91-rated Rodrygo, Base Icon Player Picks, and 85+ x30 packs.
Will It Return in FC 26?
Mode Mastery was a seasonal event in FC 25, running for roughly 5 weeks during the Black Friday / Winter Champions period. FC 26 has launched with Icon Swaps instead, but EA could reintroduce Mode Mastery as a separate campaign later in the cycle. We'll update this page as soon as there's any news.
