Division 1 Feminine Prediction
Next up for the TOTS predictions, we head over to Division 1 Feminine. Both Lyon and PSG dominate, with only Paris FC being the other side to feature. Familiar faces all round with Karchaoui, Bacha, Diani and Katoto all included.
GK: Chiamaka Nnadozie (Paris FC) - 85 OVR -> 92 OVR:
Despite big names like Mary Earps in this division, it’s Nnadozie who I expect to go on and receive the TOTS inclusion. The Nigerian was nominated for a TOTY, which shows that EA rate her highly, and her performances for Paris have been impressive throughout this season. With Nnadozie making significantly more saves than the other two goalkeepers from sides with better records, I lean towards her.
LB: Sakina Karchaoui (PSG) - 87 OVR -> 96 OVR:
There are several popular Ultimate Team options in this side, one of which is Karchaoui. The PSG fullback was one of the first names in this squad, with four goals and three assists to her name, alongside just twelve goals conceded. Her TOTY inclusion is further justification for her place in the TOTS.
CB: Vanessa Gilles (Lyon) - 83 OVR -> 92 OVR:
If you thought Karchaoui's record was impressive, Gilles goes one better. With six goals and one assist, she equals her goals conceded tally, with Lyon only shipping seven goals this season. That’s especially impressive considering Gilles is a central defender. I could have easily included most of Lyon's side in this prediction, but you have to be somewhat selective. Gilles is one who should go straight into the side.
CB: Wendie Renard (Lyon) - 88 OVR -> 96 OVR:
Renard was one of the most well-known players in the women's game prior to their inclusion in the EA Sports franchise. The French defender still dominates the game, with her 6ft 2 frame overwhelming numerous attackers while offering a threat from set pieces that many others cannot match. Renard was inducted into another TOTY squad this year, and a TOTS should be just around the corner to add to that.
LM: Kessya Bussy (Paris FC) - 80 OVR -> 91 OVR:
While it was to be expected that both Lyon and PSG would dominate this side, Paris offered several strong options, and I expect that to be rewarded with at least a couple of inclusions. Bussy recorded ten goals and six assists from the left-hand side this season, making her one of the highest goal contributors overall.
CM: Amel Majri (Lyon) - 84 OVR -> 91 OVR:
There are numerous routes to take with the Moments inclusions, and this one in particular is difficult to predict. I would expect the bigger names from Lyon and PSG to take most of the spots, and I’ll start things off with Majri. She is approaching the final years of her career, but her quality still shines through at times. It’s been a respectable season for her, with seven goals and three assists.
CM: Lindsey Horan (Lyon) - 86 OVR -> 95 OVR:
Horan has been one of the players of the season, with the American recording an impressive eleven goals and seven assists from midfield, pulling all the strings for Lyon. She was arguably robbed of a TOTY spot, but her TOTS inclusion is surely guaranteed.
RW: Kadidiatou Diani (Lyon) - 79 OVR -> 95 OVR:
Diani has probably done enough to be included outright, but with the additional security of a Moments card I would be shocked if she misses out, especially given how popular her card will be. With nine goals and five assists, it has not been her most prolific season but fourteen goal contributions across just twenty matches should be more than enough.
ST: Marie Katoto (PSG) - 88 OVR -> 94 OVR:
I would say Katoto has only been the third best striker in Division 1 Féminine this season so with limited squad positions she is probably reliant on a Moments inclusion, one I would expect her to go on and receive. Twelve goals and four assists alongside being a promotable player all point towards that Moments spot.
ST:Clara Mateo (Paris FC) - 85 OVR -> 93 OVR:
Mateo currently leads the way in an extremely tight Golden Boot race and with just two games left it is likely to go right down to the wire. With sixteen goals to her name and an additional five assists her position in this side is nailed on, making her the third and final player away from the power two in this division.
ST: Melchie Dumornay (Lyon) - 79 OVR -> 94 OVR:
Dumornay is another with the potential to be awarded Player of the Year this season, with her efforts for Lyon helping them dominate their way to yet another league title. With fifteen goals and six assists, Dumornay has been heavily involved in many of their matches.
LB: Selma Bacha (Lyon) - 86 OVR -> 94 OVR:
Concluding the prediction, we have another popular player who I can see being awarded a moments card. With Karchaoui being the best left back in the division this season, it forces Bacha into a fringe role, but both fullbacks are popular within the community and have had fantastic seasons for their respective clubs. We have already mentioned how strong that Lyon defence has been, so Bacha could easily feature as well.
